Antonio Paz, geboren in Brussel, groeide op met flamenco. Tijdens fietstochtjes met zijn vader, een gitarist, leerde hij zijn eerste letras, terwijl hij ook muziektheorie en piano studeerde. Op zijn 14e stond hij al op het podium als zanger voor flamencodansers in de Benelux. Later trok hij vier jaar door Azië om met lokale topmuzikanten te werken. Terug in Spanje trad hij op in grote theaters en festivals, waar hij het podium deelde met flamencolegendes zoals Carmen Linares, El Cabrero, Chano Lobato en Miguel Poveda. Tegenwoordig geeft hij ook flamenco-zanglessen bij Muziekpublique.

Antonio Paz, né à Bruxelles, a grandi dans l’univers du flamenco. Enfant, il apprenait ses premiers letras lors de balades à vélo avec son père, guitariste, tout en étudiant le piano et la théorie musicale. À 14 ans, il chantait déjà sur scène pour accompagner des danseurs de flamenco au Benelux. Plus tard, il a passé quatre ans en Asie, collaborant avec des musiciens locaux de renom. De retour en Espagne, il s’est produit dans de grands théâtres et festivals, partageant la scène avec des figures emblématiques du flamenco comme Carmen Linares, El Cabrero, Chano Lobato ou Miguel Poveda. Aujourd’hui, il enseigne aussi le chant flamenco à Muziekpublique.

Born in Brussels, Antonio Paz was immersed in flamenco from an early age. He learned his first letras during bike rides with his father, a guitarist, while also studying music theory and piano. By 14, Antonio began performing as a cantor de atrás (a singer accompanying dance) in theatres across the Benelux region. Seeking to expand his musical horizons, he spent four years touring Asia, collaborating with top local musicians. Upon returning to Spain, he performed in renowned theatres and flamenco festivals, sharing the stage with celebrated artists such as Carmen Linares, El Cabrero, Chano Lobato, Miguel Poveda, Aurora Vargas, Juana Amaya, Rafael del Carmen, and Rafael Amargo.

From November 2024 to April 2025 MM Sessions will invite a guest musician each month to lead four sessions with students. In these sessions, they will work together to develop a repertoire, which will then be showcased in a public performance at Goudblommeke / La Fleur en Papier Doré located in the centre of Brussels.
